The Romantic

I spat out this late-night illustration and was so excited to post it the next morning when I saw it wasn't terrible. Sooo yeah, rare occasion where all my accounts, Patreon, Tumblr, and dA get to see my art at the same time.

Of all the obscure, next-to-forgotten animated feature films on the web, this is the least talked about I could find. It has 0 fan art too. Why? Did the director do something terrible so people try hard to forget about it?
It's gothic/horror/fantasy called The Romantic. And it's set in a world where a young man sets out to kill the gods of Love, Time, and Hate after he feels like they "forced him to do a terrible thing". The animation is no Cartoon Saloon, but it's stylish for sure. Ordinarily I have trouble getting into fantasy world pantheons but somehow the one set up in The Romantic was actually pretty cool. It's story and characters were also fascinating to. Has nudity and violence, but it's the circumstances of the movie that make them disturbing and sad, rather than just violent or sexy for the sake of being violent or sexy.
Would consider myself a fan cept there's a few bits of lore that confuse me which probably make more sense with more and more viewings, and as of now I've only seen the movie twice.
